The Craig Movsovitz Foundation Mitzvah Day recently celebrated it's 11th
anniversary at the Temple. What started with just a handful of families
has turned into a day with hundreds of volunteers from all walks of
congregational life coming together to make a difference in our
community. Volunteers from preschoolers to seniors perform acts of
Tikkun Olam and help to repair the world as they participate in a
variety of projects including preparing meals for the hungry, sorting
clothing, books and toys, visiting seniors in Jewish Nursing homes, yard
work and grounds clean up at local agencies, painting, card making,
youth choir performances and more. This is always a wonderful experience for all
involved.
