Thanks to donations of cash and non-perishable food items from a concerned community, JFCS provides groceries to families and individuals experiencing hunger, through the Winn-Dixie Emergency Food Pantry.
FANN desperately needs your help!
This summer we have seen a huge increase of people in need of food. We have had record breaking numbers of pantry visitors . . many are families.
Your generosity during the High Holy Days is greatly appreciated. We count on our synagogues and organizations to help feed the hungry in our community by donating bags of food to the pantry. I am attaching the Food Drive Flyer so you can distribute it during the holidays with shopping bags to help your congregants understand the inventory needed to feed our neighbors who are hungry. The highest priced items to purchase are tuna, chicken and canned meats. If we were able to have these items donated it would allow us to stretch our dollars even further.
We need money and we need food. We need to be able to serve the community in case of a natural disaster or economic slow-down. Please help us be prepared and please help us to provide food now.
