Caring Committee

Based on our rich Jewish tradition of caring for our own, the Caring Committee promotes a culture of compassion. The Committee provides support, solace and hope to congregants and their families during times of illness, loss or need. The Committee encourages members to prepare home-made chicken soup and act as drivers or companions for our Temple family.  We have trained more than a dozen congregants who can lead a shivah minyan when clergy is unavailable.

Please contact the Temple at 904-733-7078 or caringcommittee@thetemplejacksonville.org  if you or a family member should need support or assistance.  Because of privacy laws, we need to hear from you about hospitalization or rehabilitation.

The Caring Committee looks forward to enhancing the warm and caring environment that makes The Temple so special. We welcome volunteers year round to make chicken soup, deliver soup, deliver a meal, make phone calls, or make a visit!
