The Wurn Family Library is an accredited Jewish library serving the Jewish community as well as the greater Jacksonville area.
The extensive adult collection of over 6,000 books encompasses both fiction and non-fiction, and includes large rabbinical and extensive Holocaust sections, as well as newspapers and periodicals.
An area of kindergarten through young adult books numbers over 3,000 and includes sections in bible, religion, custom and ceremony, art, fiction, and biographies.
There is an outreach program titled the Samuel Friedlander Book Exchange, which is in its 10th year. This project makes excess books available, without cost, to clergy throughout the United States.
Main funding comes from contributions to the Wurn Family Library Fund, and annual "Friends of the Library" membership drive, and an ongoing "In the Hall Book Sale."
The library is staffed solely by volunteers.
